Never one to rest on my laurels, I'm always looking at ways in which to improve, spread my knowledge and positivity in all walks of life.
WE'RE ALL HEROES
What a lot of people don't realise is that my love of superheroes and of course in particular, Superman goes way beyond the fictional aspects of the character(s).
It is my belief that we are all special in our own way. We may look different, feel different, act different, have different opinions and so. It does not matter. We all need to celebrate our uniqueness and how we compliment each other whether that be within our own family, friends and co-workers. We are all a piece of the jigsaw puzzle that makes each others lives so special. Therefore we should not let ourselves get down with the presumption that we all have to we the same, and be normal...what the hell is 'normal' anyway?! Imagine if we were all the same how boring would that be?
Furthermore I believe we can all be superheroes in our own way. We don't need fictional superpowers to do it. It's the general nature of goodwill, of being kind to one another, supporting the people we love and care about and providing that positivity to peoples lives to make their day that little bit better.
My DAY JOB
My day job as a Cyber Security Professional sees me saving the world in my own kind of way.
Using cutting-edge technologies and techniques to ensure networks remain protected from cyber threats. Ensuring networks and all systems remain as secure as possible, whilst keeping the bad guys out.
Cybersecurity is one of the biggest challenges of the modern day and it is imperative that systems are protected against all types of threats. Appropriate security provisions in conjunction with an isolated backup solution are the best forms of defence.
Having supported numerous customers over the years whilst working within the MSP field I have first hand experience in seeing what happens if the cyber attacks are successful and the amount of downtime and loss of business this can cause. This vital experience has made me even more determined to do my bit to ensure that the systems and networks that I am responsible for are as best protected as possible.
MY PASSIONS
Photography is one of my favourite past times. I enjoy capturing the wonderful moments of the world. With a particular focus of the natural world such as landscapes, animals and many other topics.
I also enjoy trying new things, exploring new areas of the country and wider world as well as undertaking various adventures.
